The Qualifying DofE Gold expedition is the highest achievement of the DofE Award. Your 4-day expedition will be supported by professional leaders and assessors. You and your team will journey through some of the UK's most beautiful national parks.
Your success is the focus of the DofE Gold qualifying expedition. Our friendly and supportive staff will be there throughout ensuring you are safe as you travel through the incredible National Parks of the UK.
Your DofE Qualifying expedition will take place in either the Lake District, Peak District or Yorkshire Dales, the most incredible National Parks in the UK. You'll travel amongst stunning mountains and Lakes.
The location of our expeditions are chosen for their suitability to fulfil the requirements of the award as well as ease of access by car and public transport.
NOTE: Your Qualifying Expeditions should take place in different location to where you completed your Practice Expedition. i.e. Practice Expedition in the Peak District and a Qualifying Expedition in the Lake District.

It can feel a little daunting to commit to spending almost 5 days, 24 hours each day, with a group of people you have most probably never met before. However, it’s not all that bad. In fact, it’s a very positive experience.
Would you get off the sofa and try to run a marathon without any training? No?! With a good base level of fitness, endurance and cardiovascular training, the challenge will still be hard, but the enjoyment levels will be higher and you’ll minimise the risk of injury.
