What do you need to know about the Mountain Scrambles?

Scrambling is a blend of mountain walking and easy rock climbing, where the horizontal world meets the vertical and is very rewarding as it takes you off the beaten track into steeper mountainous ground.

There are some fantastic classic scrambles in the Lake District. Perfect for those with little or no scrambling experience, all that’s needed is a good head for heights and the ability to move confidently on exposed but technically straight forward terrain. If you are already a hill walker but want to venture in to steeper more challenging terrain, this is a perfect day for you.
